Affiliate links
Some SmartAbodeLab pages may contain affiliate links. If a reader follows an eligible link and makes a purchase, SmartAbodeLab may receive a commission without changing the price paid by the reader.
Editorial decisions remain independent
An affiliate relationship should not determine which products we cover, what we recommend, or how we describe strengths and weaknesses. A product should not receive a better conclusion because it offers a higher commission.
Disclosure on individual articles
When an article contains affiliate links or has another commercial relationship that could matter to a reader, the page should show a disclosure near the editorial content rather than hiding it only in this policy.
Review samples and early access
Manufacturers may provide review units or temporary access. When that happens and the relationship is material to evaluating the review, it should be disclosed. A supplied product does not guarantee publication or a positive recommendation.
Advertising
Advertising inventory is visually and technically separated from editorial content. Ads do not constitute editorial endorsements, and advertisers should not receive advance control over independent editorial conclusions.
Retailer choice
Where useful, articles may link to more than one seller or to a manufacturer's own information so readers can compare availability, price, warranty, or regional compatibility.
